Comments : This is a replacement log for the one which was lost.
During the first hour of the run, the polarizer plates were put in position and the
harmonic generator was adjusted for maximum counts. Then the system was left
alone till the end of the run.
20 minutes before the end of the run, the Rayleigh SR430 unit shut down,
presumably due to overheating. For this reason, approximately the last 20
minutes
of data are redundant, as the computer copied the last original profile over and
over again to the data file.
Other than these two events, the run proceeded smoothly.
