Sondrestrom Lidar Operation Log

Operator(s) : J.Thayer, and, E.Gudmundsson
Purpose : NLC and sodium experiments with ISR
Date(s) : 990801 - 990802
File(s) : L9908010 - L9908011
Comments : Changed flashlamps yesterday (July 31) on the Spectra-Physics laser for the
Rayleigh lidar. Energy is down to about 480 mJ and will improve with time.
Adjusted chopper opening to higher altitude so that the chopper is fully open at
about 23 km (to further reduce any signal induced noise), the electronic gate
continues to gate at 27 km
