Sondrestrom Lidar Operation Log

Operator(s) : E.Guðmundsson, J.Jørgensen, A.Merkel
Purpose : Align the daystar and characterize versus sza
Date(s) : 000608 - 000608
File(s) : L6080 - L6084
Comments : The skies are extremely clear. There was not a cloud in sight until around 10:00
am.

The beginning of this data run was dedicated to aligning the daystar. We tweeked
the daystar until we say about 20% of the orginal signal with out the daystar. We
checked to make sure that the position of the daystar was repeatable.

The last portion of the data run was dedicated to seeing how far into the morning
we could take good data with the daystar in. We left the daystar in the whole run,
even at high sza. We were able to recieve good data until around 11:00 am. We
could have still taken data but the SR430s overheated. This is good news. The
daystar works good enough for part time day capability.
