Sondrestrom Lidar Operation Log

Operator(s) : Katelynn, Greer, Katelynn Greer
Purpose : Determining whether there is a fluctuation in Laser Energy during polarization flipping
Date(s) : 080715 - 080715
File(s) : L20080712_000 - L20080712_000
Comments : This was an experiment to determine whether there was a fluctuation of power in
between the flipping of polarizations. Another problem that has been
encountered is a dust tube between the amplifier and SHG keeps coming out of
place. This is evidenced in lower power readings. Although no noticable
difference was seen during polarization flipping, the TX plate was not properly
resetting to zero. This likely need to be manually reset, and as the thumb screw
that I can see is not progressing the dial, I am awaiting further instructions from
Matt Hayman.
