Sondrestrom Lidar Operation Log

Operator(s) : Katelynn, Greer, Katelynn Greer
Purpose : Routine Data Collection and Power fluctuation experiment
Date(s) : 080720 - 080721
File(s) : L20080720_003 - L20080721_000
Comments : Mostly this was routine data collection, but I have a suspision of some kind of
influence on the 532 channel by the hv Raman PMT; we shall see if this is evident
is post-analysis. Later I took data even though it became cloudy, I had hoped it
would clear again but it did not.

21:47:56I think we may have signal induced noise, but I am110KRG
not sure how to fix this
21:49:09I am going to try and converge the system and see if0KRG
that helps
21:51:43The system seems pretty well converged0KRG
22:19:43Changing the plane of polarization0KRG
Oops, forgot to turn on the Big Sky lasers again
22:25:34Plane changed and all lasers on0KRG

23:25:19I am curious about what will happen to the 532 signal if0KRG
I turn off the Raman hv PMT
23:26:42Raman PMT turned off0KRG
23:34:51Sky Conditions have deteriorated0KRG
